at (800) 342-9835, ext.8186.The professional development grantmaking program of the New York Credit Union Foundation provides funds for credit union employees and volunteers to attend education and training programs offered by the New York State Credit Union League (NYSCUL) and other industry-related organizations.
NEW Application Process: NYCUF is pleased to announce that the application form
can now be completed and submitted online if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 6 or higher installed. Please note that you will not be able to save the document electronically. Be sure to print a copy for your files before hitting the "Submit" button. If you are unable to submit the application via email, please print the application and mail it to us.
Use of Grant Funds
Professional development grants may be used for registration fees. In special cases, funding may be used for travel and/or lodging if there are no registration fees for a program or conference, or if those fees have been reduced by the hosting organization.
Grant Award Limit
One credit union may apply for several training programs through this grant category. The grant award limit for all professional development grants is $2,000 a year per credit union.
Special Instructions
If the Professional Development grant is for a NYSCUL Education & Training session or conference, please wait to complete the E&T registration until after you receive notification of the grant award from the NYCUF.
Deadlines
Professional development applications may be submitted throughout the calendar year until allocated grant funds have been disbursed.
The applicant will receive notification of a grant award decision within seven (7) business days from the date of the application submission.
Multiple E&T Registrants From the Same Credit Union Allowed on One Form (NEW))
You will be able to request professional development grant funds for up to three credit union staff members and/or volunteers on one application form.
Review Criteria
NYCUF will evaluate the grant application based on your credit union’s financial need and performance.
Funding Source
Funding for professional development grants is made possible through the Community Investment Fund (CIF).
