Application Process
The online application form can be completed and submitted online if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 6 or higher installed. Please note that you will not be able to save the document electronically. Be sure to print a copy for your files before hitting the “Submit” button. If you are unable to submit the application via e-mail, please use the printable application form and e-mail, fax or mail it to us.

Grant Range
$49-$1,500

Eligibility Requirements

All federal- and state-chartered credit unions located in New York State are eligible to apply. Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need as a requirement for this program. The total amount of a grant award will vary for members and non-members of the Credit Union Association of New York.

Use of Grant Funds
Professional development grants may be used for registration fees. In special cases, funding may be used for travel and/or lodging if there are no registration fees for a program or conference, or if those fees have been reduced by the hosting organization.

Special Instructions

  • If the grant request is for an Association training session or for Convention, be sure to complete the online E&T registration form in addition to the online grant application form.

  • You will be able to request funding for up to four programs on one application form.

  • You will be able to request grant funds for up to four credit union staff members (including the CEO/Manager) and/or volunteers on one application form.
  • Credit unions may submit more than one application for Professional Development throughout the year until you reach the $1,500 limit

Deadlines
Professional development applications may be submitted throughout the calendar year or until grant funds have been disbursed.

The applicant will receive notification of a grant award decision within seven (7) business days from the date of the application submission.

Review Criteria
NYCUF will evaluate the grant application based on your credit union’s financial need and performance.

Grant Award Limits
For Professional Development grants, the award limit is $1,500 per credit union. This does not mean that your credit union is guaranteed $1,500 from the Foundation.
