Two 2010 Golf Tournaments Benefit the Foundation
June 9: CUNA Mutual Group Golf Tournament, The Otesaga's Leatherstocking Golf Course
June 28: Utica Rome Chapter, Valley View Municipal Golf Course
GOLF TOURNAMENT - June 9, 2010
The CUNA Mutual Group Golf Tournament, held June 9 at The Otesaga’s Leatherstocking Golf Course, raised more than $19,000 to benefit the New York Credit Union Foundation.
Proceeds came from 104 registered golfers and the event sponsors, including: title sponsor CUNA Mutual Group, pro sponsor Vining Sparks IBG LP, the Adirondack Chapter, Credit Union Association of New York, Discovery FCU, St Pius X Church FCU, The Summit FCU, UsNet and several tee sign sponsors.
Despite continuous rain, 24 foursomes took on the challenging course—and 14 foursomes played all 18 holes. The following winners emerged:
- First place: Gerald Gage, Terry Slocum, Diane Slocum and Don Van Valkenburg
- Second place: John Deecher, John Prumo, Maureen Prumo and Dirck VanDuesen
- Third place: Tom Agnello, Jim Monterville, Phil Robbins and Skeet Stoughton
- Closest to the pin: Molly Quirk and Ron Flaherty
- Longest drive: Molly Quirk and Terry Slocum
