The Kid’s Cash Kit & Caboodle teaches children and their families how to manage money using three simple concepts:
saving spending sharing Children will gain basic financial knowledge and skills at an early age with practical, hands-on tools contained in the kits, including:
moneyboxes with compartments for saving, spending and sharing a moneybox family guide and passbook for recording transactions a financial goals poster one of three CUNA activity books glossary of financial terms and resources letter to parents from your credit union This early introduction to financial concepts will improve financial literacy among children between the ages of 5-12 across New York State. NYCUF will provide the kits to participating credit unions, which will then use the kits as part of their financial education efforts targeted to children and families.
