2008 NYCUF Membership

The New York Credit Union Foundation (NYCUF) is a valuable partner in strengthening the New York credit union movement. We are your statewide public charity serving those, especially credit unions, who improve the financial literacy and independence of New Yorkers and promote the credit union difference.

Our outreach efforts to other stakeholders—schools and community organizations—also benefit your credit union and the communities you serve.

In that cooperative spirit, we ask that you make an annual contribution to support our work. We are trying to simplify the process by asking you now for one donation. It will include general operating support for the NYCUF and tickets to and/or recognition at events in 2008 for your credit union.

How can my credit union membership make a difference?

The NYCUF is dedicated to the movement’s “people helping people” philosophy and supportive of industry efforts to differentiate credit unions from other financial institutions. Since one of the major differences is a credit union’s social mission to provide financial education, we offer you a variety of programs that can be incorporated into your credit union’s business or marketing plans. Programs include: NEFE® HSFPP, brass|Student Program, LifeSmarts, Biz Kid$, Kid’s Cash Kit & Caboodle and Identity Theft.

The Foundation provides grants for professional development needs, financial literacy and capacity programs and member service improvements. We support REAL Solutions and the strategic planning initiative for small credit unions, “Making the Strategic Connection.”

We hope your credit union will join us as a Friend of the Foundation in 2008.
